Critter Corner Book Club

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Critter Corner Book Club. We are glad that you are joining us.

As a completely online and asynchronous group there are no set meeting times. Our current “location” is the Book Club thread under Critter Corner general. This is where all discussion relating to the current title as well as the book club should be.

The typical schedule is as follows. All times are in CST.

  • The book will be collectively decided by Week 1 Sunday 11:59pm.
  • All members will have throughout Week 2 to obtain their copy or access. (This is also the time to ask for help with getting a copy or access to the book, if necessary.)
  • Week 3: discussion on Week 2 content opens. Read Week 3.
  • Week 4: discussion on Week 3 content opens. Read Week 4.
  • …and so on and so on until Week X, where X is the final week of reading…
  • Week Y: discussion on Week X, and final thoughts on the book as a whole.
  • After Week Y is Week 1, and the cycle restarts.

Additional bites on the smörgåsbord:

  • As part of a nature- and husbandry-oriented server, expect most titles to have themes in line with this.
  • You are more than welcome to read ahead, but please do not discuss any content from after the current week–even in spoiler tags–in the server.
  • We value every member’s input. Please feel free to suggest titles or make other contributions of that nature.
